The weekend before Thanksgiving (I think-it's been so long ago I can't truly remember), we went to Fayetteville to watch the Christmas parade and then the lighting of the square. We thought the kids would just love it. Here is Riley, very excited about the parade.
Although it was 55 degrees at the time, the wind was whipping through the buildings and it was cold. So Jude was very bundled up. Riley didn't last long in the double stroller because there was too much to see and that isn't the best vantage point. Note to self: not a stroller friendly excursion.
After a great dinner at Hunan Manor, Riley had the full-belly stares.
All these beautiful Christmas lights,and Riley just wanted to jump (or gump, as she pronounces it) at the top of the stairs...
Fancy meeting you here. Actually, we planned to meet the Smiths there. We only got to hang out for a few minutes before Jude was letting us know it was his bed time and he wanted to be in his warm bed and not that stroller (of course this was verbally conveyed, but not with words). So after a few minutes of jumping, the Woodys had to head out.
It was a fun adventure for us. Next year, we will remember to bring lots of hats and gloves, but not a stroller as this wasn't the most stroller friendly place since it was super busy and a double stroller takes up a lot of room. And maybe we'll have enough time to enjoy some hot cider, a pony ride, and some cotton candy!
