Easter Weekend

For Easter weekend this year, we changed our traditions up a little bit. We went to Mountain View for Cody's wedding (Woody's nephew). But before the wedding, we got to have some fun at Memaw and Pepaw's. We started with an Easter Egg hunt. Memaw filled the eggs with candy and money.  Some were left empty to signify Jesus' empty tomb. 

I love Jesus. And this Easter season was a personal time of reflection of what Jesus did for me. More than one day this week I was moved to tears in my Bible study of Matthew of his death and resurrection. There are not enough words to express my thankfulness. I pray that my actions will show my gratitude and love for Him.

Lots of eggs were found outside. Jude wanted to open each one up as he found them, so Riley ended up with way more.

Some were very easy to find.

Some were not.  They searched for several minutes to find that orange egg on the post.

Looking through them before all eggs were found.  But he never caught on that Riley has more than him. She took her extras and gave them to him.  So sweet.

Any chance we have to love on Daddy, we take it!

Then James and his son Grayson came over to say hi.  Grayson is nine months old and almost as big as Jude. 

Riley is such a little momma.

Woody took some time to teach Jude how to kick a football.  Even though it's two-thirds the size of his leg, he still had some trouble making contact to kick it.  

But after a few attempts, he caught on.

And no outing is complete without Jude peeing outside. Oh the joys of being a boy.

Later that evening, we had a glow in the dark Easter Egg hunt inside the house using glowsticks. The kids loved it, but maybe not as much as we did! I would say their highlight was the glowstick bath they got to enjoy afterwards! No pics on that because there were too many private parts exposed.
